In reading through C.S. Lewis’ letters, you get a feel for him as a person beyond his published writings. You learn new tidbits like he didn’t have much of a sweet tooth, but he always profusely thanked people who sent him cakes and such. You also discover he absolutely hated Christmas cards and letters.
